General Sperm Donor Requirements

Potential donors should be now attending or have graduated from a two-year or four-year college. Highschool graduates may also be considered with professional experience in lieu of a college degree.
Yes, potential donors should supply proof of education. This will be confirmed during an education background verification.
Yes, potential donors must be located near one of our locations in the United States.
J-1 students, F-1, and M-1 nonimmigrant foreign students may only be eligible to work under certain conditions. It is your responsibility to check with your visa sponsor to see if you are allowed to earn wages in the US while participating at NW Cryobank. While it may not be a violation of any employment laws, your participation with NW Cryobank might violate the terms of your visa.
No, NW Cryobank does not provide sponsorship for visa applicants.
No. In order to be accepted into our program, a potential donor must provide 3 photographs of himself as a child (between 6 months and 12 years of age).

Sperm Donor Compensation

Yes. Fully qualified donors who make more than $600 in a calendar year will be issued a 1099.

Time Commitment for Sperm Donors

Fully qualified sperm donors are expected to donate at least once per week. However, we encourage our fully qualified donors to visit the office 2-3 times per week.
The length of time in the program may vary, but, generally, we expect our sperm donors to be actively participating for 9-12 months.
No, you will not receive specific information regarding the recipients of your semen specimens. We protect the privacy of both our donors and our clients, and do not share identifying information with either party.
